Well here we are.

There are a lot of opinions out there. A veritable whirlwind of ideas, good and bad! But from the darkness, one man was brave enough to also add his opinions. That man? Well, he's me.

About Me

My name is Eric Ziegler, I am a Software Architect at The Washington Post (specifically in the Arc XP division). If you've watched a news video somewhere on the web besides TikTok and YouTube, there's a good chance you interacted with code I've written. I work primarily with Python and Java, but occasionally dabble in Rust and Kotlin.

When I'm feeling especially saucy, I dabble in multi-platform app construction (using Flutter). I also sometimes cobble together workable frontend code.

I also enjoy building deep-learning models, though this isn't something I do as much these days, with the current de jour of using off-the-shelf LLMs for everything.
